Thanks for stopping by my site! I hope you like what you see. I make most of my pieces from sterling silver, created in my home studio. I also re-work vintage pieces from all eras- many of my materials have had a long and useful life before they landed in my studio.
I started making jewelry as a kid, re-using worn costume pieces stashed away in our family's well-used attic or picking up shiny bits on the sidewalk. I remember going to kindergarten wearing a tattered 40's fur coat trailing behind me with mismatched rhinestone screwbacks. I'd say my early style fell somewhere between Pigpen and the Gabor sisters. All over the map, but never in the middle.
I still draw inspiration from diverse sources- from the machine-age glam of early 20th-century design all the way the rustic functionality of prehistoric tools.
I've turned my life-long passion for vintage style into a career as a dealer of vintage and antique jewelry and clothes, with a little photography and costuming along the way.
I'm fascinated by the "what were they thinking?" bizarreness of so much fleeting 20th-century pop fashion as well as the history and patina you see on antique pieces. The longevity and patina of many of these tiny antique pieces inspired me to start creating unique pendants- handmade with love to be passed on from one owner to the next. I hope that 50 years from now someone will find one stranded in the bottom of a jewelry box and be inspired as I have been.
